This guy appears to know what he's doing. I wouldn't try this at home because chemistry kills.

Didn't watch the vid but gold won't dissolve in nitric acid alone.

I've had GLD for many years with huge gain. If I had bought physical gold I wouldn't owe cap gains. I wonder if I should convert GLD to physical. Also, GLD is "paper gold". Is there physical to back it up? The recent run-up makes me doubt that. You can also buy miners, like Agnico Eagle Mines AEM, This stock has done awesomely the last year. It's ok with me if you all buy it with wild abandon.
