I've had GLD for many years with huge gain. If I had bought physical gold I wouldn't owe cap gains. I wonder if I should convert GLD to physical. Also, GLD is "paper gold". Tell them you want your metal. Get it while the gettins good. Like silver, gold is heavily shorted. I believe there will come a time when paper gold and silver holders are left holding the empty bag. Hence the saying: if you can't hold it, you don't own it
