It’s a pain. I have a cheap 1/2” wrench that I cut short to fit in that space.. I believe I cut the open end off and retained the closed end with the small “angle” that helps angle the handle away from the body.
Also, not a bad idea to keep a small needle nose vise grip in the car if you ever needed to use a jump pack/jump cables.. I use the Vise grip to “extend” the terminal and connect my cable to the vise grip (Hope this makes sense)..
