I wonder if turning one usiung the one you ordered might work. than you might make it it from a tougher bearing material.. a hunk of nylon maybe. that clear plastic thing looks very cheaply made. probably acrylic plastic or similar. the one on the first pic.
the second pic of the new one looks better I bet it's softer and more pliable plastic at least. maybe not so brittle.
maybe it doesn't need the little ribs if its made ot fit I thought maybe a self lubricating bearing material would do ok there. its very tough by comparison and won't need lube.
youd need a lathe, and then then its probably almost as easy to make 10 as only 1
