As I said above, the Bentley diagrams are wrong. You can keep chasing your tail if you like,
but page 970-92 titled "Mirrors 1986-1989" is actually showing diagram for MY 84-85 and page 970-91 titled "Mirrors 1984-1985" is actually showing diagram for MY 86-89. The internal diagram for the joystick on this page seems to be wrong too.
