Another possibility...
Maybe it is a sender for a cylinder head temp sensor? Youd need the correct CHT gauge to see if it worked though. Maybe the PO added the CHT sendor and the gauige is missing in the cabin?
There is no stock sender on the drivers side cylinders (1+2) for fuel injection...
