Are you saying I need to install them from the inside of the car? If so, I don’t think that’s correct with these parking brake cables, they are removed by disconnecting the link from the parking brake handle and pulling them out from the outside of the car. Installation is reverse of removal, so installing from the outside of the tunnel and pushing the cable towards the parking brake handle.
The cable assemblies can’t physically fit through the tunnel from the inside, and you cannot disassemble the cable assemblies since both ends have links crimped onto the braided cable.
The issue is one cable has the correct size link and fit fine through the tunnel, while the other has a larger link that doesn’t fit through the tunnel. Both parts have the same part numbers and were purchased from Pelican at the same time.
