Can appreciate what you're saying Guy, as someone who worked at a surfboard factory on my summers off from college in the early 70's.
I kind of understand why someone might shy away from this work because of the fumes and dust particles - but wearing PPE will do a decent job of protecting one's health. And then you get into the messy type of work it is.
Whatever - like many things we do while growing up it all comes back into play at some point or another.
I haven't gotten to my fairings work yet but am anxious to get there. I have a LOT of fairings and quite a few are in need of some patching. Yesterday I patched a small hole in the radiator of my latest acquisition with some JB Weld.
Will probably sand it a bit and then paint silver. This part isn't visible once the fairings go on, luckily.
Rest of the radiator looks OK so just trying to squeeze a little more time out of this one....
