hell of a thing...
I've ridden in a C130 from a base near Tokyo to the northern most tip of the main island. No sound deadening, no insulation/heat to speak of, and sitting facing the rear of the plane. I was a kid so it was fun.
I've only seen C5s at air shows including JATO style take offs.
