Went to look at a boat for sale.
Seller couldn't get it to run. Started fine, but as soon as the key was released, it died.
I took a gamble. Offered a much lower "as is" price, which was accepted, and towed it home.
Didn't take long. A little rubber cap attached to the key kept a small plunger kill switch depressed.
Rubber cap was cracked and brittle. Hold the plunger, and it ran like new. $0.99 fix.
