Fishing out the spark plug heads I had noticed that the upper valve cover gasket was split in three areas on the passenger side.
Received new ones from our host and now with the AC out of the way this took just a few mins to replace. You can see the three tears on the left hand side.
Also included a new ignition surround because - why not.
And with 40 years of scratches removed.
