Rolling Stones' Sympathy for the Devil has this stanza

I rode a tank, held a general's rank

And the bodies stank

I think it should have been

I rode a tank, held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
I was center stage (meaning Hitler)

I always sing it my way in the car as loud as it will go.
