I made this patio umbrella stand about 20 years ago.
It stays outdoors all year long. Made it from scrap 2205 stainless steel that I had laying around from a water treatment plant project. The plate is 1" x 12" x 12" and the pipe is 1 1/2" . Probably weighs around 50 lbs.
