looks like you are on the right track .
Sounds to me like your hard injector lines have crud in them holding open your injectors. i ruined a set of new injectors because i didn't realize that at first .
I went through the same thing with my 76 started just like you Two years ago . flooding out , I took the fd apart but could never get even flow across all 6 cylinders. ( the 76 FD is not adjustable its calibrated with shims under the springs) i eventually sent it out to get rebuilt ( twice got curded up the first time quickly) . ..
it was a long frustrating two winters. i eventually conceded and ended up replacing everything fuel related. tank, tunnel lines, all the fuel lines , filters, fuel accumulator, fuel pumps, injector lines,2 sets of injectors. new csv, had the wur rebuilt made it 3 ways adjustable. rebuilt fuel distributor.
i brazed an6 connectors to my hard lines to and from my fd. made it much cheaper and easier to replace all the lines . It also gave me the option of installing fuel gauges and check valves where ever i wanted Took the guess work out of dialing the car in. a wide band afr gauge is a must.

PS i did notice a mention of distributor wires is the 86 distributor ccw rotation like the 76? i made the mistake of wiring mine like the regular 911, it ran but ran awful.

this forum has a great group of core members lots of shared knowledge. i knew nothing about the turbo cars until a few years ago
Good luck keep us informed of your progress
Regards Ned
