Check that your shift coupler (behind the seats) isn’t loose. Happens a lot — there is another thread from this week where someone’s coupler disconnected itself :-)
I’ve not had issues with my NR shifter (been running it for almost two years). Some slip in the clamp will allow the shift rod on the shifter side to rotate without engaging the actual rod on the trans side.
Pop the cover, use 2x 13mm wrenches to adjust, mark the coupler with a paint pen once you’ve adjusted it (if needed).
