They did the same thing to the tub I had but kept the stock tank. I also had the strut tower brace done the same way along with the early style straight sway bar. One of the biggest mistakes was selling that car. Amazingly fun and analog car to drive. Although the cellulose lacquer paint kept chipping at the edge of the aluminum hood. The front/rear bumpers were paper thin fiberglass and any copy from Air or others at the time were monstrously huge and heavy in comparison. Power to weight made it faster off the line than the 930 of the day.
