I'm still trying to avoid working on the Speedster. I made the mistake of moving it outside on a nice 75 degree day. It hasn't been over 60 out since then. Basically, it's been cold and wet for 3 weeks.
But...
I had to move my "small jobs" toolbox off the workbench, and I put it on this rickety stand. Tried to move it and the stand nearly folded up on me.
So I dragged this old treadle sewing machine base out of the junk, cleaned it up and painted it.
I made a top for it by glueing two surplus bookshelf shelves together (on top of the left bookcase).
My plan was to clean up the existing paint walnut shells in the blasting cabinet and repaint it. The old paint was so soft I inadvertently stripped it.
I saved some surplus wood and iron from the junk and made something useful out of them, which I find very satisfying. .
