Honestly, I love all of them. He is one of those artists that I “collect”. I have all or almost all of them and there isn’t a bad record in the bunch.
If your looking for better sounding, more Hi Fi sounding JJ records, check out the later stuff like the excellent The Road to Escondido with Eric Clapton and Roll On and Rewind: The Unreleased Recordings, and Guitar Man
Also do not overlook the JJ Cale tribute album The Breeze: An appreciation of JJ Cale with amazing versions of his tunes by Clapton, Mark Knopfler, John Meyer, Tom Petty, et al This is an amazing record and sounds great! Bought it the day it came out and have never tired of it
A couple of the older overlooked albums that are great are “8” and Shades
If you can see To Tulsa and Back it’s a great documentary. Well worth buying the dvd
