Anyways, the most beautiful (IMO) and longest intact stretch of the old "Mother Road" was between Oatman and Kingman, AZ. And somewhere between those booming metropolises is the Hackberry General Store and Filling Station. Saw the old Corvette sitting outside and my brain said, "Martin Milner/Route 66", but I never understood why they had a life-size cutout of the King.
And now that I'm seeing this shot, I wonder, was that cutout some suggestion that Elvis actually visited the Hackberry General Store?
