I'm not sure about the 992 but some cars share the brake fluid reservoir with the clutch. Therefore, I would shift it to neutral without using the clutch and also don't touch the brakes (except parking brake).

Lastly, my car (Cayman) requires the clutch to be depressed to start but you should not be starting the car in this situation.
