Shift coupler

Hi All!
I have a 1971 911T that I have restored. I run the original dogleg 901 transmission. All bushings and coupler are new.

Still I'm not happy with the shifting. Maybe I can adjust it some more but I've been on this for three years now.

I'm thinking about to try something different. Found that there are flexible couplers for electric motors. See image.

What do you think? Too stiff? I wonder how much movement it is on the gearbox shift axle? I think the coupler could be stiffer.

All input appreciated!
