I think you (or Rossi) are putting it nicely. "Optics" instead of bull****. The whole charade is pretty lame. I'm a die hard fan but I just may skip this and the rest of the year. Already dropped out of F1 a few years ago. For a guy that 10 years go would be up at 5am for Monaco, then the 500, and hang around for the entire the 600, this is how racing has gone for real race fans.
There's still some non soap opera racing goin on. Just won't find it on broadcast TV.
BTW, all this BS about Roger having all this 'integrity', isn't this the same person that dipped a TransAm body in acid to lighten it? Plus plenty of other things. I've lost all respect for Pisske.
