For a guy that 10 years go would be up at 5am for Monaco, then the 500, and hang around for the entire the 600, this is how racing has gone for real race fans.
There's still some non soap opera racing goin on. Just won't find it on broadcast TV.
BTW, all this BS about Roger having all this 'integrity', isn't this the same person that dipped a TransAm body in acid to lighten it? Plus plenty of other things. I've lost all respect for Pisske.

You have to put it in context. Everyone in racing pushes the rules, otherwise you lose. The issue with Rodger is so complicated. I truly believe he loves the sport, and reveres the 500. At the same time, he a billionaire that turned the day to day over to some very competitive folks. There's simply no way for him to avoid the "optics" or to be hands on enough. Its coming home to roost, and Honda has more or less told him how it has to be going forward.
I'd hate to be in his shoes when he explains to Porsche why he fired the guys that were running their IMSA championship bound program. He has a 50 year history with them.
Age always wins . Its sad.
