I'd be willing to bet the post race inspection was a lot tighter than the pre-qualifying inspection was.
They really should hire a 'third party' to do the inspections. Someone not associated with IndyCar or any of the race teams. Hand them a rule book and tell them to inspect the cars to the book reg's.
With all the rebuilding that goes on when one of these cars crashes, I'm not surprised non-approved parts may get thrown into the mix.
