Timing is excellent on this.
I was mowing last weekend just up from Paul's place in the Oregon foothills. Sweethome, to be exact. At the family farm. A very large raven was super interested in my fresh cut grass. It would fly away as I came near but then fly back. Until I saw it fly off with a mouse in its beak.
I was mowing at the same property this weekend. Again, a giant raven flew down into my fresh cuts. I don't think it scored a meal this time.
This was a very well fed raven. It seems to have worked out a bit of a system. Smart.
