When you're surpassing Florida in rain, you know that's a big deal !

We received 7 inches of rain here in May, and 22.75 inches for far this year. No one except the people living in low lying areas and along rivers and creeks is complaining.

We got 5" here, and this year is feeling kind of droughty. A place ~20 miles away got 4" one day last week (we only got 2.25" that day). This has been the best month for rain so far this year.

LOL about the switch. I don't do the physical installation of stuff in data centers, but switches are part of my job. I used to work with a guy that said "there's no such thing as 'temporary'," and he was absolutely correct. I've seen lots of temporary that ended up being permanent for many years whether it be installation, hardware models, crappy cabling, weird configuration, whatever...

I believe this was supposed to be the bridge from Corpus Christi to Padre Island a few years back.

They recently, mostly finished widening a portion of I10 just west of Brookshire, Texas, and this is the speedlimit sign that has been installed for months now (there are two, one for the westbound lanes and another for the eastbound lanes).
I think that means that the speed limit is unlimited, right?

Little crawfish from my "pond" earlier this year (1-1.5" long)

I had to undo the nest building that this little wanker worked on every day for 3-4 days until he gave up.
