On the purple car, I wandered into Hollywood Sports Cars one day in 1966. I still have the one sheet for the 275 GTB. The price the salesman wrote on the brochure was $13,750, which was about $13,000 more than I had at the time.

On the LeGrand, I knew Red really well from 1970 until his death in the '80's. He was a character and a talented designer and engineer. The problem with the F-5000 cars he built was they were based on his Formula B chassis and the difference in the B motor (140 h.p.) and the 5000 motor (450 h.p.) made the car flex too much and I'm told it was a handful to drive.

These pictures are great. Everyone of them would mean something to someone somewhere if you could make the connection. You almost have to publish them all somehow and then have folks who were there explain the history. Not many left now who can explain the early stuff.
