Does this old blade look worn out to you?
Saturday afternoon I tried to mow down a rock with my bush cutter.
The rock was having nothing to do with it and one blade, (1/2 " thick ) snapped off at the pivot. I put a call in to the dealer and left a message as they are closed Saturday. In the meantime, I thought I had to mow, so welded the blade and did some of the wife's riding trail. It worked, but I knew I wouldn't trust it.
This morning I got a call from the dealer. They had a set of blades for my machine in stock. When I got there and he put them on the counter, I laughed! I could hardly believe how much the original blades had worn in 22 years.
Now the new blades are on. Everything works well and I still have to mow the rest of the trails.
