I think I'm similar. I've tried on a couple of hats that weren't a flexible as a baseball hat, and get the same thing, too small front to back and too wide side to side. But I don't have one of those pinched faces that look like I was made to be aerodynamic. And I shave my head and have had a bunch of folks tell me that I've got a good head shape that seems nicely proportional.
