I have this hat and the felt version. FYI the straw version is much better. I'm 7 1/4, round head vs oval and it fits fine.
If you buy one you can always go a bit larger and place strips of self stick weather stripping inside the inner hat band to "tighten up" and make it comfortable.
Pro tip: Get yourself a hat feather to add a bit of panache' and Bon Vivant-ness.
