My house got stuck by lightening last week and my old powered sub that I now use in the garage system got smoked (the internal amp only) and it blew me away to rationalize that it was roughly 30years old! It was a black walnut Klipsch SP15 series II. That thing was nuts, one active and one passive 15" powered by an internal 250Watt amp. Doesn't sound like that much these days but it got me in a lot of trouble as a 24 year old new home owner
