Hello, I just am new to Porsches, my friend gifted me his 1970 Porsche 911t 5sp about a month ago, it wasn’t running so I got the car running and 30 miles in the end of the shift rod weld broke and I had no shifting. Looking around I see the only fix is to pull the engine and transaxle to replace the shift rod, I would think someone would have come up with a fix for this issue, any ideas?
