For street use, I agree with PeteKZ on not using the fixed seat. They are uncomfortable to get in and out. If you use jeans, the little rivet by the pocket manages to dig through the bolster as you jump in or out and starts to destroy the seats.
Reclining seats also let you adjust the seat to be comfortable for you.
