Boxster 986 Shift Lever stuck in Park
1997 Boxster 986 Base model with Tiptronic 5 speed automatic gearbox unable to shift out of Park position. I removed the center console to do some cleaning and now the shift lever does not want to move out of Park. The shift lever needs to be moved aft to N or D in order to reinstall the center console. I am looking for an override switch most cars with automatic transmissions have to facilitate towing. Any comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. TYIA
