So, I'd look at a used Gaggia classic. Or honestly, the beginner machine that's been getting good youtube reviews is the little DeLonghi Stillosa ($100 on sale now) or Linea. They require some tweaking of the portafilter but are really good for what they are. You'll need a grinder, as important as the machine.
