I'm very new to espresso (and coffee as well) but for the past year or so we've had a machine there are three things I would prioritize if I were buying again- 1-Time to heat up (portafilter included) 2-quality and quantity of steam and 3- easy and precise adjustment on the grinder.

I do slightly milky drinks though so you can obviously ignore #2.

Oh and I'd consider a grinder that has a big hopper and uses a timer instead of the single dose thing where you weigh beans and then put in grinder. seems like it would be quicker.

Well i had #6 adjusted perfectly but then just before i tightened it a butterfly in Zimbabwe farted and now i have to start all over again!
I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.
