I used to download pics, resize, convert to jpg, upload.... pain in the arse.
I found a simple process using the screenshot app.
1) Under options, set "Preview"
2) do your screenshot.
3) pic wil pop up into "Preview ap"
4) save (I use a filename temp)
5) drag the image into the Upload Photo popup box:
easy peasy
