That's a good idea.
What I do is just put them in a folder, highlight the image I want to convert, click on that icon at the bottom center, it shows a drop down menu with 4 size options. For PPOT I generally just do a medium JPEG, and the Mac saves a new file with Medium in the name. Works for all file formats.
