She was a beautiful kitty, John, and I'm sorry for her loss. Nightwitch had a good life.
I've had two black cats (Jack was 19 when he passed and Sammy Kat is still with us, ~14 years old) and both were/are excellent cats. Both act like "mini-panthers" - very silent and suddenly in your face when least expected.
