A follow up on my bad fuel post. Had the mechanic in this morning. He listened to my account of the symptoms and took the cap off the fuel tank and advised me I had put gasoline into my diesel tractor. We drained everything out of the system, put in fresh diesel and it worked! I was afraid I had ruined the injection pump or the engine

How gasoline got into my diesel jug, I have no idea. Luckily I dodged serious damage.
