Sorry about that inference. Not directed at you. The thing that gets me is the commercials that go on with some grandmother telling her grand kid, "grandpa had USAA, you are entitled too". Its crazy, may as well open it up to everyone.
I had a E2 working for me around the same time they changed membership policy. She told me how much she was paying for 1 vehicle, it was astronomical. At the time, I had an M5, an M3, and some SUV and was paying less for all that than she was paying.
They changed the pool of the people they insure and it seems to have caused the spike in premiums. Back before, it was so much cheaper that when people asked what I paid their jaw would hit the floor.
There is also a direct link to when the USAA Bank started allowing their employees to wear polo shirts vice proper business attire. It went from being a customer oriented place to more like a place you didn't want to go.
They've had some real personnel issues recently with layoffs, cuts, and CEO problems. The bank has had a few multi million dollar judgements against it from the Feds and other law suits.
