I have been a USAA member since 1976. My dad was an Air Force pilot, so I was eligible. They insured my house and car. Then they started jacking up the home insurance like mad. I changed to another company and they wanted to bundle my cars together. It was a LOT cheaper, with higher coverages.
Now my only USAA account is the credit cards. I never pay interest, and they pay a percentage back in cash back so it is a good deal.
