These shaker boxes are made by bending the side strips of wood that have been soaking in hot water for about 20 minutes. The strips are wrapped around a sized core for each standard size of box and left overnight to dry. The strip thicknesses vary by core size - so the smallest box has the thinnest strips. The size 0 box is about 1.5" x 3" and the size 5 box is about 5" x 8".
