Yesterday we toured the Marland Mansion in Ponca City, OK.

It is 43,561 square feet. It now has the the very oldest Otis Elevator in a private home in the world. The first ever elevator in a home was in the white house. It was removed during the extensive renovations. That leaves this one as certified by Otis as the oldest. Otis is proud of it, and they come every three months to service it for free. I got to ride in it.
The tour showed us the private office, bathrooms and closets, as well as the service tunnel to the back of the property. One room has a ceiling with real 24K gold hand hammered inlay, and it is valued at well over a million is scrap gold.
We also visited the Pioneer Woman Museum.
