Hello 962: Haris could be asking, does a typical door skin blank come with the stock curvature built in? I've wondered this myself. I remember you saying its best to buy factory panels if possible.
My drivers door on my 73 had rust along the bottom seam, (the passenger door is perfect). Many years back I ground door edge to expose & de-rust the inner flange then rewelded the bottom edge. The door it was left too long & is now rusted again.
I'd be interested in your thoughts on repeating this approach vs replacing the lower cestion vs a total door skin. The car is an unmolested, accident free 73S so I would like to get it back to an original apprearance. Also durability matters.
Also I'm curious about your comment about mounting the door skin on the car first. Could you explain the steps.
