Use a 27mm socket on the crankshaft pulley bolt (not the alternator).
Rotate clockwise only (from the rear of the car).
Remove spark plugs first to reduce resistance.
Turn slowly by hand using a ratchet or breaker bar.
This allows safe piston positioning to scope the cylinders.
