I'd gone off a 3m high dive a few times. It hurts no matter how you laid. Feet first, it's like getting slapped on the bottom of the feet and potentially the nuts. Head first feels like getting smacked in the head by a board.

I remember the mythbusters dropping their crash test dummy in the water. They "broke bones" every time. I think a few times they blew the limbs clean off.
