Once my kids were big/old enough for front facing, I had them in a Recaro with its own built in 5 point harness. Sorry, it’s been a few years, so don’t remember the model.
I didn’t worry about putting her up front since my cars had no airbags. That part isn’t a problem.

Valid, but he's only been in the back twice. If it's just him and I, only a few times I put it rear facing in the front.
I use to ride in the bed of a pickup truck on the highway growing up. Yes, cars a larger now but we all make calculated decisions that have risk each day.
