My wife went on an E-bike tour years back. She would NOT shut up about how great they are. I refused to buy something that would end in a dumpster soon after purchase. Ended up buying a Specialized Turbo Vado (city bike) 2nd hand for her. SHE LOVES IT.

Then I bought myself one. I LOVED IT. It was the wrong size. Sold it.

Just bought a Specialized Turbo Levo (mountain bike) when the new generation came out. Got a screaming deal and am very pleased.


Note to the haters. My experience? I always ride harder and end up sweatier on an E-bike. Somehow the little boost encourages me to push things more than a traditional bike.
