You are correct it is the pull. I did what you said and pulled of the upolestry and began the WD-40 treatment. although it did free up the door jam it did nothing for my problem the inside pull is still stuck open and wont return to close position. I cant lock the car either If I try to lock the car from lets say passenger side it will lock for a second then open.
I looked around in the door alot and pushed and pulled and proded everything the pull is connected to a arm that also moves when you use the pull on the out side. somthing is not right. I must be somthing broken.
How would I go about fixing this problem replace the entire door mech? I dont think I could do that. the hard part is you cant really see whats going on inside the door as everything is mounted so far in. Can anybody point me to a view of the assembly on the net or maybe someone could scan it?
